Those commercials always annoy the fuck out of me, because they completely discount ANY WORRY about HFCS. While the worry may be overblown, HFCS is metabolized differently from table sugar, it's largely untested so far in terms of health value, and it's in EVERYTHING WE EAT, because our government subsidizes it heavily.

I definitely agree. And they act like it's silly to question it, which really annoys me. There are lots of natural things that are not good to eat an abundance of. And I don't really agree that HFCS is natural.

Anyone who has ever stopped drinking soda and immediately dropped 10 pounds could have told them HFCS was fattening. They're only just now figuring this out?

I think that the reason why this is actually getting attention is because the Corn Refiners Association can't buy off Princeton to keep the results under wraps.
